Safwa Islamic Bank Renews Its Support and Partnership with King Hussein Cancer Foundation

Safwa Islamic Bank has renewed its partnership with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) through a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), under which the bank will make a substantial donation to the Naming and Recognition Program. Accordingly, the early detection clinic at the King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein building in Aqaba will be named after the bank. Safwa’s name will also be added to the donor wall for outstanding contribution.

The four-year MoU was formally signed by Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General and CEO of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, and Mr. Samer Tamimi, CEO of Safwa Islamic Bank.

Commenting on this agreement, Mr. Tamimi said, “We are proud to continue our work with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation. Our commitment to supporting its various projects and programs aims to ensure the sustainability of its medical services and expand its scope.  We are honored to be a part of the foundation’s noble efforts to reach patients in the southern governorates, alleviate their burdens, and raise recovery rates among them.”

Mrs. Qatamish also thanked Safwa Islamic Bank for its ongoing sponsorship of the foundation’s programs and activities, its care for cancer patients, and its contribution to elevating the level of medical services provided to them. She added, “The bank’s support reflects its dedication and social responsibility towards humanitarian and social issues, which contributes significantly to achieving the foundation’s goals and enhancing its efforts in providing patients with the care they need.”

The Naming and Recognition Program is one of KHCF’s donation programs that allows individuals and companies to name a room, space, wing, or floor within the Cancer Center in honor of the donor themselves, their company, or a loved one. These donations are specified per space and are directed towards supporting the patients’ treatment.
