Safwa Islamic Bank Launches the “Safwa Future Stars 2024” Training Program for University Students

Safwa Islamic Bank has launched its summer training program, Safwa Future Stars, marking its sixth consecutive year. This initiative is designed to enhance the knowledge and practical skills of university students from all Jordanian governorates where the bank operates.

The program reflects Safwa’s commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility while actively empowering the youth. This aligns with the bank’s aspirations to enrich its talent pool with qualified professionals capable of delivering exceptional banking experiences to its customers. Additionally, the program aims to support the banking sector with skilled and talented professionals who can meet the evolving needs of the job market.

Bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical applications, the program offers a month-long hands-on training that keeps up with modern trends. This not only broadens participants’ career opportunities and helps them build their future, but also facilitates their entry into the job market upon graduation, empowering them professionally, economically, and socially.

Mohammad Hawari, Head of Human Capital and Administrative Services at Safwa Islamic Bank, commented: “Our role extends beyond traditional banking. We are dedicated to implementing impactful initiatives that support education and student development. Through programs like Safwa Future Stars, we aim to contribute to transforming Jordan into a global talent hub while addressing unemployment challenges.”

For 2024, the bank has updated the program to include revised and more accessible admission requirements, allowing broader participation. Last year’s program successfully trained 200 students, and this year, the bank anticipates training an additional 43 students. Moreover, plans are underway to integrate more graduates into the Safwa team, joining the existing 16 alumni who are already part of the Safwa family.
